Another fine day (so far) and five runners declared for Perth tomorrow where the ground looks like being good to soft.

We start with two runners in the staying novice hurdle at 7pm, Arnica (Bruce) and Ultra Violet (Sean). Arnica ran well to be 4th over course and distance last time and will hopefully improve again in a first time visor, Ultra Violet has also been running well and should improve for the step up in trip. 8 run.

Ultra Violet

Next up is Not The Chablis in the 8pm, he was a close 2nd in this race two years ago and showed signs of coming back to form last time so should improve again with Brian Hughes and a visor on, this a competitive race for the grade though. 9 run.

Finally we are double handed in the conditional jockeys handicap hurdle at 9pm (yawn). Bruce rides Sanosuke who ran very well to be 2nd over course and distance last time, a repeat would see him go close. Joe Williamson rides Not In Kansas who should improve for stepping up in trip on handicap debut. 9 run.

Not in Kansas

Today at Newcastle Artic Row stayed on strongly to finish a close 3rd, only beaten a length by the winner. He looks like he will prove well handicapped when stepped up in trip. He has an entry in the sales next week and I’d like to continue training him, do let me know if you would like to buy him!
